Start with independent evidence
Convergence becomes analytically useful when observations from separate collection paths change the interpretation of the same entity, place, event, or time window. Shared timing alone is weak evidence.
Look for change from baseline
A pattern is more meaningful when one or more observations depart from an established baseline: unusual infrastructure activity, novel indicators, unexpected movement, or a new relationship between known objects.
Keep hypotheses separate from facts
A plausible explanation should remain a hypothesis until evidence supports promotion. Competing explanations and contradictory observations are part of the operating picture, not interface noise.
What this means
Use convergence as a prioritization mechanism. It identifies where additional collection and analysis may have the highest value; it does not automatically establish causality or attribution.
